An account needs attention
What the warning in the top bar means when a connected account stops syncing, and how to fix it.
Where: the warning icon in the top bar → Accounts
With auto-sync, Zentralog pulls your trades from the broker on its own. When that connection fails, a warning with a number appears in the top bar.
Find the account
- Hover the warning. It says how many accounts need attention.
- Click it. Accounts opens.
- Look for the row marked Needs attention.
Fix it
- If the row shows Reconnect, click it and sign in to your broker again.
- If not, open the row's ⋮ menu. It offers the fix that fits: Update API key for Topstep, Re-enter credentials for Rithmic, Reconnect for Tradovate, or Retry now.
- Once it is fixed, click Sync now to pull your trades straight away.
What's on the screen
- Warning: an account stopped syncing. Click it to fix it.
- Tooltip: how many accounts need attention.
- Accounts: reconnect or review your accounts here.
Your trades are safe. The account and its trades stay as they are, and missing trades arrive with the next successful sync.
FAQ
Why did it happen? I didn't change anything.
Brokers expire sessions and API keys, and a password change on the broker's side also breaks the link. Reconnecting fixes it.
The row says Account closed.
The broker closed that account. Open the ⋮ menu and choose Archive account to keep its history read-only.
Sync now is greyed out with a countdown.
There is a short wait between manual syncs. Try again when the countdown ends.
